Improved price filtering

The new algorithms for filter navigation by price now provide even more flexibility. It is now possible to set any price range and display all products within this price range. These in turn are now also displayed in a staggered manner. This results in a kind of sub-categorization in the price range category from x to y.

Prices for customer groups

One price does not always fit all. The tool allows you to create different price levels for different customer groups, e.g. for major customers or resellers. This allows you to set both base prices and differentiated prices.

EU Tax ID Validation

This feature provides a tax collection process within the EU that simplifies international B2B transactions by automatically using the correct tax rules. Taxes can now be calculated and collected according to the tax of the respective customer group, depending on the shipping or billing address, as well as the tax ID.

EU Cookie Guidelines

In response to the strict EU data protection guidelines, an option to agree to the use of cookies has been integrated into Magento 1.7. If this option has been activated, a message now appears at the top of the website indicating the cookie guidelines and asking you to accept or reject them.

Backup and rollback

With Magento 1.7 it is possible to manage and schedule backup tasks. It will also be possible to undo changes and modifications. This function is particularly helpful when testing new extensions, customization or Magento upgrades.

Three different backup types are supported:

  • Database and media backup

CAPTCHA
