A total of over 1,200 different web technologies were identified. The most frequently used technologies - each represented on over 5,000 websites - are categorised in a ranking from ‘accessible’ to ‘less accessible’.
In the CMS category, TYPO3 takes 4th place, directly behind Divi, Webflow and Adobe Experience Manager. This makes TYPO3 the most accessible open source CMS in the ranking and puts it ahead of other well-known systems such as Drupal, Joomla and WordPress.
Despite the strong performance, the analysis shows that there is further potential for optimisation with an average of 41.5 errors per website. Particularly exciting: With the planned Government Site Builder v11, which is to be based on TYPO3 in the future, the ITZBund has formulated clear goals for improving accessibility. This development could give TYPO3 a decisive boost in the coming months.
